Susan Boyle’s New Album Sets Record for Most Preorders in Amazon.com History

with 3 comments

[Susan Boyle's] new disc “I Dreamed a Dream” – out November 23 – has racked up the most pre-orders in Amazon.com history….

She became a singing phenom after her April performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent” captured hearts of people around the world.

But the media and fan attention – including over 100 million views of her “Cry Me a River” video on YouTube.com – took its toll on the singer.

After finishing second in the talent competition, the songstress had a string of public outbursts and erratic behavior. She then spent five days at a psychiatric facility in June.

This marks Boyle’s first recording and includes a cover of “Wild Horses.”

Good for her.

Check out her performance of “Wild Horses” here: Wild Horses. Tell me what you think.

  1. I don’t think it’s possible for her to sing anything but wonderfully – yet the original song was so much better than Wild Horses.

They needed to pay Jim Steinman, (who wrote several of Meat Loaf’s songs) to write a couple of songs specifically for her.

They’re also trying way too hard to make her look beautiful, slim and sexy when they should just rely on the woman’s sweet personality, the music and the voice.

I don’t know anything about music, so that’s just my humble opinion, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

    • I agree, but I don’t know about Steinman.

I can easily see her doing The Rose or Both Sides Now. If they really want to give her some Oomph, some old Etta James such as Come to Momma or Lena Horne, Stormy Monday

  2. Go to her website and under the music tab, listen to the samples from the CD.
It’s going to be absolutely amazing.
She’s got a fantastic voice and can sing just about anything.
