The heartache my family faces after the fiscal disaster experienced by Setanta Sports in the UK – is losing two evenings per week of analysis of the Premier League and a taste of the rest of Europe at the same time a la James Richardson. The loss includes the absence of interviews and commentary by Rebecca Lowe.
We still get Setanta’s share of UK football – and Ligue Un and the SPL – and the bonus of additional matches, often in HD, courtesy of ESPN who picked up the pieces. All via DirecTV who are offering freebie choices of up to eight contests per match-day of the Champions League and the Europa League. Most in HD.
Now, the Guardian is going to give us James in video instead of the meager audio taste available via iTunes.
We are happy as a pair of Ipswich clams. With Keaneo’s approval, of course.

Yesterday, Chelsea finished well over Juventus and Liverpool demolished Real Madrid. Today, Manchester United was unbeatable against Internazonale and, frankly, Arsenal just barely sucked less than Roma. That last went to penalty kicks.
