There are some sharper cartoons around, today, that might fit the edges of this blog better. But, I just couldn’t pass this one up.
My favorite bumper sticker, here in New Mexico, says, “Hey, man, I’ve been this way since 1969.”
Actually, I’ve been this way since about 1955. 🙂

Guess what happens next. Here’s a hint: Clinton holds a considerable lead over Sanders among non-white voters: 63% to 20% among blacks and 54% to 33% among Latinos, according to a Jan. 2016 poll conducted by NBC News. http://qz.com/613745/hillarys-next-move-to-bounce-back-against-bernie-sanders-is-to-focus-on-race/

Arrest photo of young activist Bernie Sanders emerges from Chicago Tribune archives http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-bernie-sanders-1963-chicago-arrest-20160219-story.html Sanders was arrested during a school segregation protest on the southside of Chicago on Aug. 12, 1963, and charged with resisting arrest. He was found guilty and fined $25, according to a Tribune story about the protests. The paper also reports that while Sanders was attending the University of Chicago he was a leader of the Congress of Racial Equality, a major civil rights group. Also that other news accounts from the time describe him leading protests over racial inequality. See video @ https://vimeo.com/155411363
