  1. Puzzling Evidence™ says:

→ President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting. “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.” Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.” https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/19/us/politics/trump-russia-comey.html
Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, did not dispute the account but said reports of the President running naked through the White House on all fours while ‘barking at the moon’ were unfounded.

  2. Yikes! says:

Anderson Cooper tells Trump apologist: If Trump ‘took a dump on his desk, you’d defend it’ (LA Times, entertainment news) http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-entertainment-news-updates-may-anderson-cooper-tells-jeffrey-lord-if-1495254401-htmlstory.html . One of course assumes Cooper’s accusation refers to his guest being prepared to justify any potential act of defecation by Trump but it might also be interpreted as being inclined to safeguard any Presidential excreta itself – which according to the White House Press Secretary is not only ‘bigly’ but also doesn’t stink. There’s also the question of who’s desk might be involved but I suppose for now that, along with the image of the President of The United States of American squatting down somewhere in the West Wing like a bear in the woods must be left to the imagination.
