3 countries now refuse to fight climate change via the Paris Accords

George Bush the Little did his best to set the United States years behind the rest of the world in genetic science. Now, another Republican, little Donny Trump, does the same for environmental science and renewable energy jobs. Consistency from dull-witted politicians and their obedient followers.

  1. Update says:

October 24, 2017: Nicaragua has announced that it will join the Paris climate accord, leaving only two countries that have either not joined the deal or signaled their plans to leave it: Syria and the United States. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/24/world/americas/nicaragua-paris-climate-agreement-us.html Nicaragua, however, was critical of the deal as insufficiently ambitious. In a 2015 interview with the news program Democracy Now, Paul Oquist, Nicaragua’s chief climate negotiator, said the accord would not do enough to avert a potential temperature increase of three degrees Celsius.
Mr. Oquist also derided the deal’s requirement that all countries, rich and poor, reduce emissions as “a spin on historical responsibility, because everyone didn’t create this problem.”
Nicaragua has now said, however, that it will endorse the deal.
