The man who got Bin Laden says the biggest threat to American Democracy is our Fake President

❝ Once the longest-serving Navy SEAL on active duty, Adm. William McRaven played a key role in thousands of dangerous missions abroad, including commanding the one that cost Osama bin Laden his life.

McRaven, who is retired, warns that the greatest threat to American democracy he’s seen during his decades in national security comes not from a rogue regime or a terrorist group but from the caustic rhetoric of President Donald Trump.

❝ “An attack on the press or an attack on the Department of Justice, or to imply that there are dirty cops at the FBI or to ignore the intelligence community, I think, really undermines our institutions,”…”And that makes me fearful of the future direction of the nation.”

When someone from the stiffnecked tradition of the US military finally speaks out about the Fake President, I think we’re past time to forgive and forget, quit rolling out little prayers of hope. Throw the bum out of office – either through impeachment or the 2020 elections.

The former isn’t likely with Republican puppets in charge of the Senate. The alternative can solve that problem, as well. Throw Trump’s pimps and corporate whores out of office. Start over, again, with a clean slate.

  1. News item says:

Late in the day on May 23, President Donald Trump signed a memorandum ordering the heads of the Departments of Defense, Energy, and Homeland Security, and the Directors of National Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency to give Attorney General William Barr unfettered access to information about “intelligence activities relating to the campaigns in the 2016 Presidential election and certain related matters.” The memorandum gives Barr the authority to declassify or downgrade the classification of any information he sees fit as part of the investigation.
Barr’s investigation is not into electoral interference by foreign actors during the 2016 presidential campaign, but rather into whether US law enforcement and intelligence illegally spied on the Trump campaign.
