    Microbursts are one of the most dangerous meteorological occurrences known to man. A monsoon thunderstorm unleashes a microburst over Phoenix July 18, 2016 (Photo by TV News Helicopter Pilot/Reporter Jerry Ferguson). Once they reach the ground, microbursts have been known to produce wind gusts up to 150 mph.
