  1. Footnote says:

(2/3/19) A White House source has leaked nearly every day of President Trump’s private schedule for the past three months.
Why it matters: This unusually voluminous leak gives us unprecedented visibility into how this president spends his days. The schedules, which cover nearly every working day since the midterms, show that Trump has spent around 60% of his scheduled time over the past 3 months in unstructured “Executive Time.” https://www.axios.com/donald-trump-private-schedules-leak-executive-time-34e67fbb-3af6-48df-aefb-52e02c334255.html Includes a link to the leaked schedules in the same format that West Wing staff receives them.

If he was a gamer (or a reader), that amount of executive time might make some small amount of sense. But he’s a tube boob and internet junkie. What I fear we’re seeing is the ultimate result of Frank Zappa’s 1973 cultural observation:
      “Your mind is totally controlled,
it has been stuffed into my mold,
and you will do as you are told
until the rights to you are sold.”

“The astonishing thing is that the president of the United States is, let’s face it, raving like a lunatic — and everyone just shrugs.” Eugene Robinson, Washington Post columnist (August 19 at 5:00 PM) https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/trump-is-melting-down-again/2019/08/19/814b65e4-c2b3-11e9-b5e4-54aa56d5b7ce_story.html “…The truth is that we don’t have an actual presidency right now. We have a tiresome reality show whose ratings have begun to slide — and whose fading star sees cancellation on the way.”
