“The Trump administration abruptly dumped the leaders of three agencies that oversee the nuclear weapons stockpile, electricity and natural gas regulation, and overseas aid during the past two days, drawing a rebuke from a prominent Republican senator for one of the decisions.
The White House declined comment on the firings, and declined to say whether there would be more in the wake of the election.”

Former FERC Chair Chatterjee on demotion by Trump: ‘I don’t give a f@&!’ https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/524932-former-ferc-chair-chatterjee-on-demotion-by-trump-i-dont-give-a-f
Ousted Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Chair Neil Chatterjee spoke emotionally about his demotion by President Trump in an early Saturday Facebook post, alluding that he was proud to have taken recent stances that may have irked the White House.
Chatterjee was replaced by newest FERC Commissioner James Danly, who has proven to be a more conservative vote in his time on the commission since March.
Chatterjee had recently signaled support for carbon pricing in electricity markets, a move that would be damaging for coal. Chatterjee also told E&E News that a refusal to implement Trump’s September order to suspend diversity trainings was a factor in the tumult.
Chatterjee, who is Indian American, has been vocal in speaking out against police brutality, condemning events in Georgia and Minnesota calling them “as devastating as they are unjust.”
Some Democrats have come out to condemn Chatterjee’s demotion, particularly as the typically-five member panel has dwindled to three members and the Senate slow-walks the confirmation process for Democratic appointees.

Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s personal attorney, was holding a press conference in a landscaping company’s parking lot disputing the legitimacy of the US presidential election when news filtered through that Joe Biden had been declared the winner.
President Donald Trump has installed Rudy Giuliani to lead the legal efforts he has mounted to resuscitate his failed bid for a second term in office, a move that comes after a series of court defeats Friday, two sources told ABC News.
A spokesperson for Giuliani confirmed his expanded role for the president. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/president-trump-taps-rudy-giuliani-election-legal-fight/story?id=74204120
The decision, first reported by The New York Times, also came following court filings from the law firm that had been handling some of the Trump campaign’s legal efforts. Lawyers from K Street firm Porter Wright Morris & Arthur have asked to withdraw from the federal lawsuit the Trump campaign filed in Pennsylvania to challenge the election results there.

President Donald Trump’s campaign team set up a hotline for people to report voter fraud. Instead of providing the president with legal ammunition to challenge Joe Biden’s victory, the hotline has been “bombarded” with people making fun of the incumbent, ABC News reports.
According to ABC News, the hotline “has turned into a nightmare”: Campaign staffers are on the receiving end of elated prank callers “laughing or mocking them … before hanging up.” It’s even become a TikTok trend, with users posting video of their calls to the fraud hotline promoted by Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. https://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Trump-voter-fraud-hotline-prank-calls-15710945.php
