A new PRRI poll found that 31% of Americans believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, including two-thirds of all Republican voters and 82% of those who trust Fox News as a news source.
Among those who trust One America News Network and Newsmax, 97% say they believe the election was stolen.
Most troubling: 30% of Republicans agree that violence might be warranted.
Said pollster Robert Jones: “I’m not an alarmist by nature, but I’m deeply disturbed by these numbers. I think that we really have to take them seriously as a threat to democracy.” https://politicalwire.com/2021/11/01/one-third-of-americans-think-election-was-stolen/

After he was acquitted on all charges in the Kenosha shootings, Kyle Rittenhouse will take his story to Fox News and Tucker Carlson.
While America was watching the high-profile trial inside the courtroom over the last three weeks, behind the scenes, there’s been a film crew from Fox News documenting Rittenhouse and his defense team.
A portion of an interview will air on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Fox News at 7 p.m. Monday.
The rest will air as part of a documentary on “Tucker Carlson Originals” on Fox Nation (the network’s digital streaming service) in December. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/local/wisconsin/2021/11/19/kyle-rittenhouse-go-tucker-carlson-tonight-fox-news-monday/8691221002/

(Jan 11, 2022): Tucker Carlson Minion Ted Cruz Pushes Tucker Carlson’s Favorite Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theory in Senate Hearing
The senator joins far-right Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and others in claiming the federal government, with the help of a man named Ray Epps, was behind the Jan. 6 attack https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/ted-cruz-tucker-carlson-ray-epps-conspiracy-theory-1282885/ NYT: “Jan. 6 Panel Seeks to Debunk Unfounded Theory About F.B.I. Role in Riot” https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/11/us/politics/ray-epps-january-6-committee.html
(January 12th): Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., has lost patience with the members of his party who continue to push the unfounded conspiracy theory that a Trump supporter named Ray Epps who encouraged demonstrators to storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 was, in actuality, either an FBI agent or informant sent to stir up trouble.
“It’s very clear he’s not. From our perspective, you have to push back against new conspiracy theories before they take hold,” Kinzinger, speaking about the Jan. 6 select committee’s interview with Epps, told Yahoo News in a Wednesday interview.
The “false flag” theory about Epps has been promoted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson and brought up during hearings by Republican lawmakers like Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, and Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Matt Gaetz of Florida. https://news.yahoo.com/rep-kinzinger-looks-to-put-the-ray-epps-conspiracy-theory-to-bed-once-and-for-all-000034203.html

Republican senators are unmoved by Tucker Carlson’s relentless warpath against support for Ukraine — even as it widens an existing rift in their party.
The Fox News prime time host and others on the far-right have excused and even rationalized Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine and downplayed its relevance to U.S. national security. And while GOP senators are shrugging off his name-and-shame campaign, Carlson’s views are permeating the GOP base in a way that could undermine Republicans’ efforts to emphasize cross-party unity as they seek to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The disconnect between the GOP foreign policy establishment and the pro-Donald Trump base of the party on the value of intervening in foreign quagmires isn’t new. But the crisis in Ukraine is exposing the widening gulf between the two camps when it comes to committing U.S. resources in support of fledgling democracies under siege by authoritarian regimes. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/02/01/gop-tucker-carlson-ukraine-00004370

An employee on Russia’s state Channel One television has interrupted the channel’s main news programme with an extraordinary protest against Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Marina Ovsyannikova, an editor at Channel One, burst on to the set of the live broadcast of the nightly news on Monday evening, shouting: “Stop the war. No to war.”
She also held a sign saying: “Don’t believe the propaganda. They’re lying to you here.” It was signed in English: “Russians against the war.”
The news anchor continued to read from her teleprompter speaking louder in an attempt to drown out Ovsyannikova, but her protest could be seen and heard for several seconds before the channel switched to a recorded segment.
Ovsyannikova also released a pre-recorded video via the OVD-Info human rights group in which she expressed her shame at working for Channel One and spreading “Kremlin propaganda.” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/14/russian-tv-employee-interrupts-news-broadcast-marina-ovsyannikova

Musician Kid Rock slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci in a Fox News interview, telling host Tucker Carlson, “F— Fauci,” when asked about the leading infectious disease physician.
Carlson responded to his comment, saying “you speak for many when you say that.”
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, added that he believed all the “bullshit” at the beginning of the pandemic and was “spraying off UPS packages” and doorknobs.
“A couple moths of that shit and I’m like, what? So this is pretty much knocking out overweight, unhealthy people?” he added. “I’m like, I’m good.”
The 51-year-old musician is vocal supporter of former President Trump and praised him in another preview of the interview released on Monday. https://thehill.com/homenews/media/599039-kid-rock-to-tucker-carlson-f-fauci

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson accused CBS host Stephen Colbert’s production crew of committing “insurrection.” https://thehill.com/homenews/media/3528658-tucker-carlson-colbert-production-crew-committed-insurrection/
“Last night, producers from Stephen Colbert’s show on CBS committed insurrection at the United States Capitol,” Carlson said, referring to the producers’ unescorted entrance into a House office building authorized by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).
The comments were made in the midst of a series of public hearings by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

“Tucker Carlson: These are the leaders of Biden’s revolution : Tucker Carlson blasts Biden’s leadership during the president’s speech in Philadelphia” https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-leaders-bidens-revolution
“…what Joe Biden is calling for tonight, a one-party state. It’s shocking. You may have trouble believing it’s even happening and yet it is live on television right now, and yet and here’s what we’re here to tell you, believe it or not, there is an upside to this catastrophe. Even as you watch your beloved country take a turn you never imagined possible, there is reason for hope. American liberals may have obvious dictatorial ambitions. There’s no question they do. Only would-be dictators fear free speech and an armed population. But just because liberals long for a one-party state doesn’t mean they’re going to get one. They won’t. In the end, they don’t have the skills to pull that off. Liberals are too incompetent to overthrow democracy, and that’s obvious from history.”

  16. Chrizzart says:

Tucker Carlson accuses MSNBC of intentionally inciting minorities into a “race war” against white people https://www.mediamatters.org/tucker-carlson/tucker-carlson-accuses-msnbc-intentionally-inciting-minorities-race-war-against [includes link to video clip]
“…So it’s not just whites, it’s white women. “Their women are bad too!” The women, of course, are the key to reproducing the white race, which is clearly a threat, as she says again and again to you and your family. They’re dangerous. They want to hurt you.
Now, don’t be fooled by the fact that Tiffany Cross can barely speak a coherent sentence — she was a communications major, apparently according to the internet — that didn’t work. But the gist of it is very, very clear. White women are dangerous because white people are dangerous. They are, by the nature of their DNA, potential domestic terrorists.
…Once again, calling out a specific race by name. Now, you have to wonder about the other anchors on MSNBC, some of whom are that race. Do they notice this? Do they know what’s happening on their channel? Are they okay with this? What do you think happens if we continue to talk this way?
You may not watch that channel, but some people do. What does this look like in a year or five years or ten years? What kind of country do you live in? Well, we’re a country at war with itself, a race war.
This woman, Tiffany Cross, whose clips you’ve been watching, is so deranged by a racialist world view that she believes all people of one color are oppressed by all people of another color.”

Cross, who is Black, noted on a recent MSNBC show [link] that white women played a prominent part in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. She aired concerns about whether Americans realized that more white women were “enablers to this very dangerous domestic terrorist movement.”
At least 100 of the rioters arrested were women and they played a “front-facing role,” according to an NBC story in April [link] that cited a George Washington University program on extremism report. The report mentioned women’s role in the reemergence of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1960s. But modern social media has given women new opportunities to join right-wing extremism, the network wrote.
