Tatiana Perebeinis, 43, her daughter, Alise, 9, and son, Nikita, 18, were killed by Russian forces as they tried to flee the town of Irpin, a suburb about 15 minutes from Kyiv. Ukrainian soldiers tried to resuscitate a friend who was with them but he later died.”
It’s just a “special military operation”, not a war (click twice to enlarge).
“The first time it was reported that our friends were being butchered there was a cry of horror. Then a hundred were butchered. But when a thousand were butchered and there was no end to the butchery, a blanket of silence spread.
When evil-doing comes like falling rain, nobody calls out “stop!”
When crimes begin to pile up they become invisible. When sufferings become unendurable the cries are no longer heard. The cries, too, fall like rain in summer.”

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the bombing of the maternity and children’s hospital in Mariupol is one of 24 verified attacks on health care facilities in Ukraine since the Russian invasion. https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/10/europe/russia-invasion-ukraine-03-10-intl/index.html
The UK Russian embassy Twitter is calling the photos of pregnant women—leaving the building with visible wounds and on stretchers—fake, saying the woman “played the roles” of multiple women in the news photos from the scene. Calling victims of horrific violence “crisis actors” is a tactic commonly used by conspiracy theorists in the U.S., especially following mass shootings.
Unlike “false flag” accusations, which misrepresents motives, saying a scene is full of crisis actors is saying that the entire thing never happened or was completely faked. Russian state media is already claiming that the hospital bombing was entirely made up by Ukraine, and that the building was evacuated long before the bombing took place. https://www.vice.com/en/article/epxk3n/russian-embassy-twitter-crisis-actor-conspiracy-theory

“The nature of war has changed. It is fought now primarily against civilians” (Fintan O’Toole, Irish Times 3/18/22)
“…It is dead and injured soldiers who are now the collateral damage of war. Civilian casualties are the main event.
In the early 20th century, the ratio of deaths in wars was roughly eight soldiers to every civilian. By the end of the 20th century, this was reversed: one soldier died for every eight civilians.”
