Nude baristas busted for stripping at coffee shop drive-thru

Charged with getting customers in a froth!

Three baristas accused of giving customers peep shows along with their coffee have been arrested in Washington state, accused of operating an adult cabaret without a license from the drive-thru windows of two Grab-N-Go coffee shops…

The three women, who were not immediately identified, were taken into custody in the city of Everett following a two-month undercover operation that was launched after complaints from the public, Everett police officials said…

“Citizens complained that these locations served more than just coffee,” Everett police Lieutenant James Duffy said. Everett is about 30 miles north of Seattle.

“Indeed, our investigation uncovered exhibition and exposure, which is outside the confines of the law,” Duffy said. “During the investigation, video surveillance showed that at times coffee or drinks were not served, but shows were paid for and given…”

The coppers said it was not clear how customers became aware that the baristas were willing to strip for money…”Word gets out“.

Yup. One of the first rules of business is that marketing should answer a need. I’m not certain what need exactly was being met; but, word did get around.

Diaper wars leave Norwegian baby bottoms uncovered

Southern Norway is in the midst of a diaper shortage after a supermarket price war lured enterprising bulk shoppers from eastern Europe who have cleaned out the shelves…

Norway is one of the world’s most expensive countries. However, supermarkets in the south trying to lure local customers by undercutting rivals on the price of “nappies” inadvertently made it profitable enough for residents of nearby countries to start trading in them.

“They buy every last diaper, I mean everything we have on the shelves, throw it in the back of their car and take them home, where they sell it for a nice profit,” says Terje Ragnar Hansen, a regional director for retail chain Rema 1000.

It’s not stealing and it’s not even criminal but it’s a big problem, … they leave nothing for our regular customers…”

Customers come into Norway from Sweden, drive along the coast to fill their cars, then take a ferry back to the continent, said Helge Breilid, the chief of customs in Kristiansand on Norway’s southern coast.

Some have been stopped with diapers worth up to 50,000 crowns, roughly 80,000 diapers, a legal shipment even though Norway is not part of the European Union.

“They told us that the only reason they came to Norway was to drive around and buy diapers to bring back home and resell,” Breilid said.

All’s fair in love and war – some people say. Apparently, that includes baby’s bottoms. Turning Norway into a diaper drive-through.

Taco Rage in Texas

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A Taco Bell drive-through customer who became enraged because of a price increase on Beefy Crunch Burritos fired a BB gun through the window at a manager on Sunday, police said.

No one was hurt from the shots fired by the man, who also waved a pistol and an assault rifle in the parking lot, Police Sergeant Chris Benavides said.

As the restaurant’s employees and customers hit the floor, the manager called police, and when officers arrived, the angry patron fired several shots at the police cars, Benavides said.

The man then barricaded himself inside a nearby motel room, sparking a standoff that lasted until police lobbed tear gas inside and the man surrendered.

Benavides said the burritos had been sold for 99 cents each as a promotion, but the man was apparently angry that the promotion had ended, and the price had gone up to $1.49.

Like, if you get this much of a reaction over the end of a special on burritos, how about something truly important like – say – the Dallas Cowboys moving to Los Angeles?
