“We’re at the mercy of what’s going on around the country”

Best in the southern tier still ain’t up to Governor Michelle’s standard!

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) said Sunday that her state is “at the mercy of what’s going on around the country.”

Lujan Grisham called the U.S.’s COVID-19 response the “worst abdication” of the “responsibility to protect Americans I’ve ever seen” during an interview on ABC’s “This Week.”

The governor claimed there is “no national strategy” and “no public health investment.”

There is no national strategy,” she said. “I still spend most of my days chasing testing supplies for our state. It is the worst abdication of a national response and responsibility to protect Americans I have ever seen in my government career.”

The Fake President’s only “national strategy” is to continue trying to unite every bigot, racist, fiscally-incompetent ignoranus behind his re-election campaign…before they all die from stupid-induced infection.

Oklahoma Senator won’t support tornado aid without budget cuts

The tornado that hit Oklahoma on Monday resulted in more than 20 deaths and is expected to cost the federal government untold billions of dollars in aid and recovery. But Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), who has long objected to federal funds being spent on everything from veterans benefits to relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, is already insisting that any additional appropriations should be paid for with cuts elsewhere. “That’s always been his position [to offset disaster aid],” Coburn spokesman John Hart said. “He supported offsets to the bill funding the OKC bombing recovery effort.”

Indeed, during his time in Congress, Coburn has portrayed his efforts to rein in federal spending as a principled stance against accumulating larger deficits and passing debt to future generations. But Coburn hasn’t always opposed government spending that is not offset by budget cuts. The senator known as “Doctor No” has voted to fund the war in Iraq, the 2008 bank bail out, and even relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina…

By insisting that funding for tornado relief be offset by cuts elsewhere in the budget, Coburn is representing his ideological purity rather than the needs of his Oklahoma constituents.

People who care more for dollars than human beings are worth about as much to our society as fossilized pig excrement. Homeboys may be dumb enough to vote for them – but, they still don’t deserve greedy bastards like Coburn representing them in Congress.

Coburn and his ideology are a waste of space on the face of the Earth. He is a symptom of just how incompetent our 2-party system has gotten – when all that results from a choice of two is one more louse on the pimply butt that is the United States Congress.

£10,000 bill after man kept pig in living room of council home

A council is attempting to trace a tenant who caused thousands of pounds of damage to a house after keeping a pig inside the property.

Housing staff from Derby County Council found the Gloucester Old Spot roaming around the bottom floor of the property in Kingsley Street, Sinfin, Derbsyhire, when they went to evict the tenant following complaints from neighbours.

The carpets were muddied and covered in droppings, and rooms were so full of boxes of junk that officials could not get into them.

It is thought the pig had been kept at the house for a year.

Derby Homes, which is responsible for managing council houses in the city, said the cost of repairing the damage caused to the property would be between £10,000 to £15,000.

When housing officials and the RSPCA turned up to evict the tenant on March 15 after gaining an eviction notice from court, the tenant took the pig away. Council officials are now trying to trace his whereabouts. The tenant, I presume.

Maria Murphy, director of housing and customer service at Derby Homes, said: “This is a disgraceful waste of money, caused by a tenant who failed to show respect for this property or his tenancy agreement.

“The individual will not be eligible for housing with Derby Homes in the future.”

My wife still wants to know the pig’s name?
