Fake President lies about snowflakes

“Official White House Photo”

(Last) Tuesday, it snowed in Washington.

This isn’t really newsworthy, by itself. It’s January in the District, a month in which more than five inches of snow will fall on average. In any number of years, some of that snow has fallen on the seventh day of the month…What makes last week’s snowfall newsworthy was the point at which the White House decided to share the news about it: on Sunday, a day when the temperature in Washington hit a high of 70 degrees. More importantly, the low was 49 degrees — too warm for snow and a temperature reached only after the White House’s tweet…

For an administration with a robust track record of dishonesty, the tweet struck many people as being another, albeit unusually odd, example of exaggeration or misrepresentation…What’s been missed in the reaction to the tweet, though, is a more important contrast. It’s not just that the tweet about snow overlapped with an unusually warm day that matters. It’s that this is the precise opposite of how President Trump has traditionally tried to leverage the weather to his political advantage…

What the White House tweet did — no doubt unintentionally — is highlight how warm it was in Washington on Sunday. The normal high in Washington on Jan. 12 is 43 degrees, putting Sunday’s temperature 27 degrees above normal. That is no more proof that the climate is warming than a cold day is proof that it isn’t, but a warmer-than-usual winter day is certainly more suggestive of something abnormal happening than a winter day that’s cold.

Whatever the intricacies of lies from the White House, they are exactly what is expected from the Fake President. Sometimes, I have to think they’re expected – enjoyed – by the fools who voted for him in 2016 and probably will, again, in 2020. He never learned to tell the truth. They don’t care. As long as he rolls out the drumroll of slander and slurs that satisfy bigotry and ignorance.

Pentagon mistakenly thought Trump more than an ignorant bully

When top American military officials presented President Donald Trump with the option to kill Maj. Gen. Qassim Soleimani, Iran’s most powerful commander, they didn’t actually think he would take it, reports the New York Times. Pentagon officials usually include a far-out option when they present possibilities to the president in order to make the others seem less extreme. The other options presented to Trump…included strikes against Iranian ships or missile facilities or militias backed by Iran that are operating in Iraq. “The Pentagon also tacked on the choice of targeting General Suleimani, mainly to make other options seem reasonable,” reports the Times…

…things changed when protesters gathered outside the U.S. embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday…Trump became increasingly angry at the images he saw on television as protesters stormed the embassy. Suddenly, Trump was worried that failing to respond to the protests would look weak. By Thursday, Trump had decided to go forward with the killing of Soleimani and “top Pentagon officials were stunned,” reports the Times.

Don’t be surprised at stink when you rely on shit-for-brains!

Trump not only doesn’t understand wind power. ..he doesn’t understand telling the truth!

” Trump referred to wind turbines as “a bird graveyard” telling the crowd that if they “go under a windmill someday, you’ll see more birds than you’ve ever seen ever in your life.”

Facts First: Research suggests that while wind power does contribute to bird deaths, more birds are killed by cats or other types of power plants…

” Trump was adamant…”a windmill will kill many bald eagles. It’s true. And you know what? After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off…”

Facts First: It’s misleading to claim that after a certain amount of eagles die, the government makes wind farms “turn the windmill off.” However, there is a limit of incidental eagle deaths the wind farms are expected to remain within…

” Trump claimed…specifically that the manufacturing of wind turbines results in “tremendous amount of fumes and everything.”

Facts First: Wind power has the smallest carbon footprint compared to other energy sources, according to the Department of Energy. A 2014 study additionally found that after operating for five to eight months, the average wind turbine will have offset the energy expended during its manufacturing…

” “You know what they don’t tell you about windmills?” Trump told the crowd, “After 10 years…You got to replace them. A lot of times, people don’t replace them. They need massive subsidy from the government in order to make it.”

Facts First: The government does not provide subsidies for wind turbine repair or replacement. Though wind farms receive a tax credit if they produce a certain amount of energy within their first decade, this subsidy will be phased out by 2020. Furthermore, the average lifespan of a wind turbine is 20-25 years, not 10…

” Trump claimed, “If you own a house within vision of some of these monsters, your house is worth 50% of the price.”

Facts First: This is not the first time Trump has claimed proximity to a wind turbine impacts property values. However, several major academic studies found no statistically significant decrease in the average property value due to wind turbines in the US…

The original article is over here. You probably should read it. I imagine any Trumpublicans you engage in conversation are just like their Fearless Leader. They wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them on the whatsit!

Trump’s dementia and racism have no limits

❝ On Tuesday morning, the President of the United States described the impeachment investigation against him as a “lynching.” This is not by accident.

Throughout his life — and especially in his latest turn as a politician — Trump has shown a willingness to weaponize race for his own gain.

❝ He has also shown that he possesses a deep and abiding victim complex, convinced he has been persecuted in ways that few, if any, people have ever endured in the history of the country.

❝ By comparing his current situation to lynching, Trump is engaging in both the weaponizing of race and his sense of victimhood. He is purposely dredging up some of the darkest images of our country to vent his anger and rally his supporters to his cause.

It is, in a word, gross.

I second that emotion. RTFA!
