Hundreds of former national security officials endorse Biden

We are former public servants who have devoted our careers, and in many cases risked our lives, for the United States. We are generals, admirals, senior noncommissioned officers, ambassadors, and senior civilian national security leaders. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We love our country. Unfortunately, we also fear for it. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven America needs principled, wise, and responsible leadership. America needs a President who understands, as President Harry S. Truman said, that “the buck stops here.”

Many of these folks recorded videos about their endorsement. I simply picked one at random to illustrate their call for responsible leadership. Look and listen. Think about why we dare not leave this dangerous buffoon in power a minute longer than required by law.

And, then, think about joining the fight to change the out-of-date Electoral College law that put this dolt into office.

Of course, Fake President heads backwards on nuclear weapons

Kengo Nikawa’s watch. It took him 16 days to die.

Seventy-five years ago Thursday, the U.S. became – and remains – the only country in the world to detonate a nuclear weapon against an enemy…

The Hiroshima death toll reached an estimated 200,000 by 1950 as those who survived the blast succumbed to fatal burns, radiation sickness and various cancers…

The Trump administration has withdrawn from a 2015 nuclear accord with Iran and world powers designed to limit Tehran’s nuclear capabilities.

President Donald Trump-led talks with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un aimed at denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula have stalled.

The Trump administration has suspended compliance with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, a Reagan administration-era initiative that slashed the number of midrange missiles held by the U.S. and Russia.

Trump has abandoned the Open Skies Treaty – negotiated by President George H.W. Bush after the collapse of the Soviet Union and designed to be a check on nuclear weapons by allowing surveillance flights over signatories’ territories.

Trump has signaled he may not renew New START, the last major U.S.-Russia nuclear arms control treaty, unless China also agrees to be bound by its constraints. Beijing has not committed either way. New START expires in February, just weeks after there’s a new, or renewed, U.S. president in the White House.

Marshall Billingslea, the top U.S. envoy for nuclear negotiations, has confirmed the Trump administration has discussed holding the first nuclear test since 1992. “I won’t shut the door on it, because why would we,” Billingslea said in late June in Vienna, Austria, although he said there is no reason to carry out a test “at this time.”

Reason has nothing to add to policymaking by the whim of an ignorant autocrat and his lackeys. Anyone think Congress has enough backbone to stand in opposition?

Fake president is scared of genuine civil servants

Yuri Gripas/Reuters

“My 42-year career began during the Carter administration and involved service to seven presidents: four Republicans and three Democrats. Most recently, I had the privilege of leading the dedicated professionals of the National Counterterrorism Center; over four decades, I worked throughout the intelligence community, on the National Security Council and overseas…”

U.S. Senators Marco Rubio and Mark Warner, heads of the Senate intelligence committee, voiced their support for whistleblowers on Friday after a former counterterrorism official fired by the Trump administration filed a complaint.

The senators’ joint statement reflected concern from both Senate Democrats and Republicans over the politicization of U.S. spy agencies under President Donald Trump with the appointments of loyalists to leadership positions.

A congressional source said their statement was prompted by a complaint about political interference in the intelligence process made by Russell Travers, a veteran intelligence officer ousted recently as acting chief of the National Counterterrorism Center…

Even suits like Rubio and Warner realize the value of non-partisan, experienced, civil servants vs the obedient sock puppets the Fake President loves putting into important jobs. They’re eager to kiss his ignorant butt…even though one of their prime roles is to take the fall for trying to implement the crap proto-fascist ideology he dotes on.

Nutballs burn cell towers in UK

A conspiracy theory that claims that 5G internet is behind the coronavirus outbreak has led to arson attacks on more than 70 cell phone towers in the UK.

The conspiracy theory began to gain traction in the UK in late March and early April, coinciding with the rising number of cases in the country and its nationwide lockdown. Conspiracies around phone signals have existed for years, however…

Mobile UK told Business Insider on Wednesday that the number has now risen to 77, and that the rate of attacks was thankfully slowing. “Daily attacks are very low now but have not stopped entirely”…

Idjits everywhere in the world are united by a common bond of stupid, often dangerous, acts of violence, mostly because their pea-brains comprehend no science…though the vacant space is often filled with superstition and fear.

Thanks, Nick
