Bat embryos – Molossus rufus (black mastiff bat) – photographed by Dorit Hockman of Cambridge University, one of the finalists in the Nikon Small World 2012 photomicrography competition.
I haven’t visited the daily GUARDIAN Eyewitness photography section in a while. Cranked it up on my iPad and this is among the latest goodie published.
gawd – cute little buggers
What’s with the bat on the left? I see the speak no evil and so no evil but the one on the left should be covering their ears? (or is it that bats are supposed to be deaf in the first place…? )
Seriously though- beautiful- thanks for sharing.
Those are awesome!!! Does that site have any other photos?
Something I look at daily: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/series/eyewitness
I keep their Eyewitness app on my iPad.
p.s. A post coming up from a new photo app from AP, today, as well.
I couldn’t help myself, I “stole” that photo far my Halloween Parting Shot… 🙂
AP photo app coming up at 10AM MDT.
